Invisalign®️ and Clear Aligners in Murrieta, CA
If you are avoiding orthodontics because you can’t stand the thought of wearing braces and would prefer to have crooked teeth, then Invisalign® or another clear aligner may be a clear choice for you. By choosing Invisalign or another clear aligner, there’s a solution that renders braces virtually invisible.
Invisalign and other clear aligners are comfortable, low profile, custom-made, clear trays to fit your teeth and your lifestyle, and most people may not even know you are wearing them! Not everyone is a candidate, or their case may be a little bit more complicated than others. Dr. Papworth will refer you to an excellent orthodontist in less ideal or more complicated cases.
The Advantages of Invisalign or Clear Aligners
- Save Time: Appointments are only needed every eight to twelve weeks to pick up your next sets of aligners.
- Self-Confidence: a bright new smile that makes a strong impression. People probably won’t notice you wearing them unless you tell them … so smile confidently!
- Convenience: Aligners can be removed to eat, drink, or brush your teeth. Each aligner is worn for a one to two-week time frame.
- Eat Your Favorite Foods: Remove your aligners before each meal. You do not have to worry about the hassle of food getting stuck between your brackets or breaking brackets, such as with traditional braces!
Who is a Good Candidate for Invisalign or Clear Aligners?
Invisalign or another clear aligner is a great alternative to traditional orthodontic braces for older teens and adults, but it isn’t for everyone. Following a consultation, the qualified team at StarWhite Dental can help you decide if Invisalign or another clear aligner is right for you.
Invisalign or another clear aligner can treat a variety of cosmetic dental concerns, including misalignment issues like crooked or crowded (overlapping) teeth and gaps in your smile, as well as malocclusion problems like overbite, underbite, crossbite, and open bite. Invisalign or another clear aligner may not be ideal in severe crookedness, such as teeth (particularly molars) that have rotated more than 20 degrees or cases where several significant problems exist.
In such cases, traditional orthodontic braces may be necessary to correct the smile. Previous dental work, such as a dental bridge, may preclude certain patients from benefitting from Invisalign or another clear aligner. Invisalign or another clear aligner isn’t suitable for patients requiring extractions to correct their smile.
Invisalign or another clear aligner is recommended for patients that are committed to straightening their smiles. Because these invisible aligners are removable, it is the responsibility of the patient to wear them for 22 hours each day, removing them only to eat and practice proper oral hygiene. Patients that aren’t committed to all-day wear for the duration of treatment will not enjoy the full benefits of Invisalign or other clear aligners.
If you’re interested in perfecting your smile and want to find out if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign or another clear aligner, the experts at StarWhite Dental are happy to perform a smile assessment test and discuss your options for creating a beautiful, straight smile.
